Jon and Alex have known each other since 2005 and have collaborated on several projects throughout their professional careers working with well known investments banks such as Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan and Bank Of America Merrill Lynch.
With ambitions of starting a consultancy to work on exciting projects, particularly in the developing field of machine-learning and artificial intelligence, Jon and Alex teamed up to work on the underlying predictive algorithm for Safescape and helped bring the app to market. Xerini was incorporated in 2018 and subsequently began to get traction, winning multiple projects with larger clients in the construction industry, including PCSG, HS2 and Highways England.
In 2019 Jon and Alex teamed up with Glen, who comes with a wealth of senior industry experience in finance, technology and management.
Jon Williams has worked in the banking sector for over 20 years, designing and building systems across multiple business functions, such as Human Resources, Corporate Treasury, Trading, Risk Management, and Operations. He has worked for many of the top tier investment banks, such as UBS, Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan and Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
Jon is a passionate technologist and architect and likes to remain as hands-on as possible, even while leading teams and managing larger projects. His focus more recently has been in the field of machine learning and has collaborated on a real-time mobile motoring accident risk assessment app called Safescape.
Glen is an experienced global CIO with a consistently successful track record in defining and executing digital innovation. He was formerly the International CIO for Standard bank and a Global CTO in the sovereign wealth space before branching out to work with start-ups in various leadership roles.
Glen is on the Advisory Board of Agorai.ai, a leading international AI start-up and has provided advisory services to start ups in the Middle East and the UK, covering diverse fields such as reg-tech and clean energy. He is the founder of HotDeskr, a start-up specializing in the remote-worker space and in his early career achieved a PhD for his pioneering work in Space Geodetics. His focus is primarily on the user experience, converting complex data to insightful data.
Alex Luketa is a software consultant with over 14 years' experience working within the financial sector. Alex has designed and built a variety of financial systems for trade capture, trade processing and risk management for clients including Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Credit Suisse and Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
Recently, Alex has been working in the burgeoning field of artificial intelligence and machine learning. As part of this development, Alex has helped devise Safescape, an innovative in-car app that utilises machine-learning to improve road safety.
